FAN MADE GUIDELINE ファンメイド(二次創作)ガイドライン

These guidelines are intended for fans of "Aikatsu Academy!" who create and share fan made content such as fan art, comics, videos, and cosplay costumes to support the franchise. BANDAI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) supports the creative activities of fans, and in order to ensure that everyone can engage in these activities with peace of mind, the Company has established these guidelines.

*These guidelines permit derivative works based on “Aikatsu Academy!” However, please note that the characters, songs, and various content from the following series are not covered by these guidelines.
The following works are not included within the scope of permissible derivative works: “Aikatsu!”, “Aikatsu Stars!”, “Aikatsu Friends!”, “Aikatsu on Parade!”, “Aikatsu Planet!”, as well as any of the characters and various content from collaborations and tie-ups featured in “Aikatsu Academy!” and the aforementioned works.

■ Fan-Made Content (General) Guidelines

The Company will not make any claim for copyright infringement as long as the following conditions are adhered to, allowing individual fans (excluding corporations and sole proprietors) of “Aikatsu Academy!” to freely create and share fan-made content.
However, the unmodified use (redistribution) of content, content solely intended for alteration, or any use deemed by the Company to be for commercial purposes, is not covered by these guidelines.
When publishing fan-made content, please ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as well as the terms of service and other policies of the platform being used.
Please note that card frames for creating fan-made content can be downloaded from the “Aikatsu Academy! Fan-Made Content Support Page” . When creating fan-made content, please do not remove the text “FAN MADE CARD.”

Regarding fan-made content that has been published, it may be used as thumbnails for streams and videos, or featured on social media and other platforms. In such cases, the Company may edit or modify fan-made content. Furthermore, in such cases, the Company may display the name (including account name) of the fan-made content creator.

[Prohibited Activities]

When creating fan made content, please refrain from expressions of the following kind of content:

  1. Content that violates public order and morals
  2. Claims of religious or political beliefs, as well as discriminatory or hate speech
  3. Information that suggests or spreads misconceptions or misunderstandings as being official
  4. Content that infringes upon the rights of third parties or damages their honor, reputation, or dignity
  5. Content that could damage the image of the Company or its content (including affiliated talents)
  6. Any other content deemed inappropriate by the Company

Please also refer to the guidelines below regarding highlight video clips of content, other types of videos, and music usage.

[Important Points]

  • • These guidelines do not constitute any guarantees by the Company. Furthermore, any incidents that may arise from the creation, sharing, or other use of fan-made content are the responsibility of the individual who undertook such creation, sharing, or other use, and the Company shall bear no responsibility whatsoever.
  • • These guidelines are not intended to transfer any intellectual property rights included in “Aikatsu Academy!”
  • • In cases where fan-made content is produced or shared in violation of these guidelines, the Company may take measures such as submitting takedown requests to the platform where such fan made content has been posted.
  • • The Company is unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding whether the posted fan-made content complies with these guidelines or falls within the legally permissible scope.
  • • These guidelines are subject to change, and any fan-made content created after such changes will be subject to the updated guidelines.

■ Guidelines for Highlight Video Clips

When creating “highlight video clips” using content related to “Aikatsu Academy!”, please refer to both the Fan-Made Content (General) Guidelines and the following guidelines (hereinafter referred to as the “Guidelines for Highlight Video Clips”). Please refer to the music usage guidelines mentioned below regarding the use of songs in videos.

  • • If the edited highlight video clip contains third-party content that is not owned or licensed (including permissions) by the Company, please comply with the terms of use and other regulations of the respective content rights holders. Please note that the Company does not provide individual responses regarding the interpretation of third-party terms of use or other policies.
  • • The creation of highlight video clips from membership-exclusive videos, ticketed live performance videos, and other paid content is prohibited unless special permission has been granted within the respective paid content.
  • • For live streaming, the posting of highlight video clips is prohibited before the archive of the live stream is made publicly available.
  • • In addition, the Company may prohibit the posting of highlight video clips for certain videos designated separately by the Company.
  • • The Company reserves the right to take down content, including highlight video clips, thumbnails, or any other related matters, depending on the circumstances.

[Regarding Sharing]

When sharing highlight video clips, please include the following information at the beginning of the video description.

  1. The URL of the original video content (hereinafter referred to as “Original Video”) used for the highlight video clips.
  2. Designated hashtags specified by the Company #AA_HighlightClip
  3. Original Video titles

*Highlight video clips containing created or posted content are prohibited from being registered under any form of automatic identification, including Content ID, as proprietary material.

■ Guidelines for Other Types of Videos

When creating videos that do not use highlight video clips, please refer to both the Fan-Made Content (General) Guidelines and the following guidelines (hereinafter referred to as “Guidelines for Other Types of Videos”). Please refer to the music usage guidelines mentioned below regarding the use of songs in videos.

[Regarding Sharing]

For sharing videos that do not use highlight video clips, please clearly state the following information at the beginning of the video description:

  1. URL of the official website
  2. Designated hashtags specified by the Company #AA_HighlightClip

[Regarding Monetization]

For videos other than highlight clip videos, you are permitted to use monetization features, such as advertisement revenue through YouTube, videos on Niconico, and other video sharing platforms' partner programs or creator programs, provided that you comply with the above guidelines and do not violate the terms of use of the hosting platform or any other relevant regulations, including those of third-party content rights holders included in the video. However, in cases where the Company or a third party designated by the Company has registered a Content ID, monetization of content may not be possible.

■ Guidelines for the Use of Music

When using the provided music content, please check the following guidelines (hereinafter referred to as the “Guidelines for the Use of Music”).

[Applicable Songs]

The Music Usage Guidelines apply exclusively to original songs performed by the idols of “Aikatsu Academy!” (hereinafter referred to as “Applicable Songs”). The applicable songs are those listed in the “Applicable Song List” below.
For Applicable Songs, fans are permitted to create cover songs and other fan made music (hereinafter referred to as “Fan-Made Music”). However, arrangements including music rearrangements, and alterations to lyrics are not permitted.
*Fan-Made Music containing created or posted content are prohibited from being registered under any form of automatic identification, including Content ID, as proprietary material.

Please note that for music-related fan creations, such as “Me singing,” the official instrumental tracks can be downloaded and used from the “Aikatsu Academy! Fan-Made Content Support Page” .
When performing or sharing content on social media or sharing platforms, please ensure that the appropriate rights have been cleared with the relevant music copyright management organizations or rights holders, such as the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) or NexTone Inc., according to the purpose and content of the music usage.
